As animators might be strongly aware, time is relative. As 10 seconds in life might be no time, animating 10 seconds for animators can take ages. (I think this is also where the itch comes from, that we are fighting restlessness with our patience, haha) To convey this idea, I created a ‘countdown video’ of the journey of the tennis ball. As the ball travels, we see in the background an entire human history flashes by.
I used a bit of fluffy textured in my visuals, I think it has an itchy vibe. And I use the fast rhythm and the drum sound to intensify the scene and to express an unsettling feeling, showing the concept of ‘Itch.’

This is my thesis short film, I came up with the brief, the concept and I wrote the story and animate it. To promote the film, I created posters and other promotional visuals.
Lingering Echoes of Time is a 2-minute animated short film about a message that was not sent on time. It plays around with multiple realities such as the present, the imagination, and the could-have-been. It uses different visual styles and techniques like motion design, frame-by-frame animation, and 3D animation to represent reality and imagination. It explores the passage of time using natural elements like changing colors of the butterfly, daytime and nighttime, water and ice, flowers and rain. The film is a meditation, where the audience can reflect on their relationship with the past, present and the future.

Title Sequence : Double Life of Veronique
Role: Designer & Animator
The film explores the themes of identity, love, and human intuition through the stories of two identical girls: Weronika, a Polish choir soprano, and Véronique, a French music teacher. Although they are unaware of each other's existence and live in different places, speaking different languages, and they feel an emotional connection. Their lives are in sync in different paths, they are 'doubles' of each other.
The animation is inspired by the well-crafted details in the movie, adapting the idea of 'not knowing each other'. The sequence first goes through the story of each girl individually, with a hint of the existence of the other girl. Towards the end, when the film title is revealed, the two girls appear in the same frame facing each other, indicating the miraculous attachment.
I wanted to challenge myself by creating a motion graphics piece with an uncut action and playing with illusions. I also enjoyed playing around with the prompts from the film and giving them an abstract twist.
